Berlin – Die Welt has put online one of the thirty original copies of Hitler’s protocol for the Holocaust. It was thought that no original copies of the “die Endloesung der Judenfrage”, the “final solution of the Jewish problem”, existed. This one copy, the 16th, belonged to a functionary of the foreign ministry, Martin Luther, who was arrested and interned by the Nazis. The document was prepared by Adolf Eichmann after a secret meeting of the top Nazi hierarchy on January 20, 1942.After that day, virtually every Jew in Germany and in the territories occupied by German troops in Europe would be transported by train to extermination camps, where most found death.
